The question

Can one reusable front-panel module serve every instrument the studio builds, instead of designing a panel each time?

Where it stands

Mechanically it works — 14 mm deep, one cutout, one ribbon. The encoder detent feel came out better than expected. The display is the open question: it is unreadable in direct sunlight, which rules it out for anything used outdoors.
